Logistics Network, the networking organisation for senior supply chain professionals within the courier, parcels, mail, distribution and logistics sectors, will be focusing on the Christmas Peak as well as taking a look at the impact of this summer's Olympics and Paralympics at its final event of the year. It will take place on Thursday 27th September at the Bird in Hand Country Inn, Knowl Hill, Reading and will include two high-profile speakers who will discuss these challenges faced by the home delivery sector.

The headline speaker from a leading B2C parcel carrier will be presenting on managing the Christmas peak, explaining how operators can improve customer deliveries at the busiest time of year and the ongoing challenges it brings to sector. Meanwhile, our second presentation from a same day courier business will look at what contingencies had to be put in place to ensure a continuation of delivery services during both the Olympics and Paralympics and the learnings taken from the experience.

Paul Ridden, Chairman of Logistics Network and Managing Director of Skillweb commented: "Our last event of the year should generate some interesting debate amongst some of the sector's most prominent figures. We are also looking to attract the next generation of industry leaders to bring new ideas and energy to the group, which has been successfully running for more than five years."

The organisation was launched as the C3 Club in 2007 by mobile computing specialist Skillweb to bring together like-minded senior professionals within the supply chain to discuss current business challenges and industry developments in a private environment. This organisation was relaunched earlier this year as the Logistics Network.

Anyone interested in joining the Logistics Network and attending the next event can register via the organisation's website.
