HERMES TRIUMPHS AT TOP HR AWARDS

The HR Brilliance Awards are designed to celebrate the outstanding contribution that innovatively designed and superbly executed HR strategies make to business performance. Hermes fought off tough competition to secure the award in recognition of its commitment to developing a new employee engagement strategy that focused on improved communications, better supporting colleagues during the busy peak season, rolling out new work/life balance initiatives, enhanced leadership and development programmes, as well as reward and recognition schemes. As a result, the company saw its employee engagement rate jump by 5 points, with further increases expected before the end of the year. 
 
Hermes also impressed the judges by investing heavily in a new intranet and employee portal, as well as launching a new set of company values.
 
Commenting on the award, Jill Maples, HR Director said: “This achievement is testimony to the hard work, enthusiasm and commitment displayed by the entire HR department. However, we will not stop here and we already have some very exciting plans put in place for 2019, which will help us to build on this success.”
