The Cardio Shop Opens New Store in Redditch Introducing Home Fitness for Over 50s

The Cardio Shop strives to be the go-to-store in the UK to enable older, inactive people to achieve their fitness goals and live a healthier lifestyle. Many people avoid getting fit because they don’t have the confidence to get started and think joining a gym is the only option available to them, but The Cardio Shop offers an alternative.

The Cardio Shop opens new storeThe Cardio Shop is a family owned, home fitness supplier and has opened its first high street store inside the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Redditch.

The new store boasts a large showroom with the full range of Cardio Shop fitness machines on display and customers are encouraged to try the products in store before making a purchase.

Andy Harris, Director said “This is an exciting time for The Cardio Shop. We have worked hard over the past three years to put together a selection of keep fit products that are specifically aimed at people who want to exercise in the comfort of their own home. Most of us don’t have room for a fully equipped gym at home so it’s important that the products you purchase are value for money, whilst being high quality.

When customers visit our new showroom, I want them to bring their trainers with them, so they can try before they buy. I want them to take a run on one of our treadmills, experience our water rowers or just relax their muscles with one of our vibrating, massage machines. If they aren’t ready to dive straight in, we now have our own range of smart watches that monitor your daily activity.  This will soon tell you if you need to start being more active!”.

The Cardio Shop specialise in supplying products that are easy to use and ideal for storing away when not in use. The products are particularly suited to older users or people that have been physically inactive. Many of the larger items can be delivered to your door fully assembled.

Andy went on to say “Getting fit should be enjoyable. If you’re older, don’t feel confident enough to join a gym or maybe you’re at home caring for a family member, then exercising at home is ideal. There’s no pressure and you can go at your own pace. It’s so important to stay active as you get older.

I know from my own experience that getting fit later in life isn’t easy, but if you stick with it the results make you feel younger and energetic. I can honestly say I feel better now I’m in my 50’s than I did in my 20’s and it’s all down to regular exercise.”

The Cardio Shop is open seven days a week and deliver throughout Europe. Andy is available in store to answer your questions and offer encouragement to get you started.
