SimonsVoss among top 50. Ranking of world's largest security systems manufacturers.

SimonsVoss is once more among the world's top 50 security system manufacturers according to the ranking list released by security magazine A&S Asia published in Asia. This list is based on the earning figures from manufacturers in different security segments, such as CCTV, biometrics, access control and intercoms. SimonsVoss is ranked at 34 among these 50 largest companies.

The award ceremony took place on the first day of the Secutech security trade fair in the capital of Taiwan, Taipeh, which was attended by 25,000 trade visitors from around the world. The special display area Security 50 Gallery allowed visitors to establish contact with many of the listed manufacturers and find out about the solutions that they offered.

'We are extraordinarily proud that we have achieved such a respectable position among the top 50 security systems manufacturers for a second time,' affirms Nicole Huffer, Corporate Vice President MarketingCommunications at SimonsVoss. 'We feel that this confirms that we are on the right track not only with our consistent focus on innovation based on our own research and development, but also with our successful strategy of interlinking top performance in technology with modern design.'

The criteria used to establish the top 50 are the sales figures for products and solutions - calculations are based on sales for the previous financial year. To ensure companies can be compared on equal terms, earnings from distribution, integration activities, services and similar are excluded. According to the prize-awarding publisher MFNE, the distinguished companies exceed growth expectations on the overall market and world economy, because they offer solutions for key security needs while also investing in people and research and development in times of financial crisis. They thus enjoy an excellent reputation in the industry and with decision makers worldwide.

The magazine believes that the award should also serve to show the sector strategies successfully implemented in financially weak periods, thus encouraging further innovation and investments. The ranking should also make it easier to identify trends and find reliable partners in CCTV, access control, burglary alarms and similar segments.
