Launched 10 years ago by independent roofing consultant David Roy FIoR, www.roofinfo.co.uk has become the ultimate guide to the industry’s materials manufacturers and suppliers, contractors, distributors and merchants, consultants, service suppliers and trade associations. Believed to be the most comprehensive web directory of the UK roofing and cladding industry, more than 1,600 companies are now listed, with almost 7,000 visitors received between July and September last year alone.

New glossaries of terms for flat and pitched roofing as well as metal roofing and cladding not only help people viewing the site but with search engine optimisation. www.roofinfo.co.uk was designed to complement www.roofconsult.co.uk launched in 2001 to help people involved in the design, specification and maintenance of roofs and facades. This site now receives more than 10,000 visitors a month. As well as a monthly enewsletter with the latest industry news, www.roofconsult.co.uk also provides detailed design calculations for factors including wind loadings, fixings requirements, roof drainage and U-values, White Paper-type articles and standards.
