Putting you in touch with the future

A new networking group comprising of a body of creative individuals is about to launch in Tameside, aptly named the Digital & Creative Network.
Published 27 November 2014

The brainchild of Tracey and Joel Rush, from award winning digital company AsOne and supported by Banter Media and Defero Marketing, the ethos is to combine the digital and creative talents of the borough in the guise of businesses and entrepreneurs within the sector. The ultimate aim is to allow collaboration and amalgamation of digital and creative talents to provide an inclusive service.

The combination of talents from Tameside creative businesses will allow the group to influence, and benefit creative locally based businesses and individuals operating without a reliable network of peers. In addition, enhancement of the DCN will be met by experts in their various industries who don’t have the opportunity to meet similar specialists in an informal and friendly setting.

An added benefit of having digital and creatives in one location at any one time will enable new doors to open, new contacts to be made and allow digital and creative services to become more accessible. This will eliminate the need for trawling business directories and search engines to find professionals that complement the industry. For example web developers will be able to converse and share ideas with other digital experts in the same room. The initiative can only expand and create new opportunities for everyone. In addition, inclusion of the DCN and the benefits to members is entirely FREE. What have you got to loose!

Tracey Rush, Director of AsOne and one of the Founders of the Digital and Creative Network commented, “Our local area is full of great talent and yet many struggle to get noticed or make lasting connections. DCN will capitalise on this talent, bringing people together not only for the benefit of the individuals but also for those businesses that look to DCN for services within the digital and creative sectors”.

The inaugural event and get together is on Friday 5th December at The Angel, 147 Hyde Road, Denton, M34 3DW. Commencing at 19.00pm. It’s a social themed event encouraging people to come and find out more about DCN and the opportunities ahead. The event promises to be an evening of fun and with Christmas around the corner you can expect lighthearted festivities thrown in. Tickets are priced at only £10 per person to cover initial costs payable on the evening & light buffet included. Register at www.meetdcn.com and we will email your personal invitation so that you can reserve your place. We look forward to seeing you.
