Digital innovation company seeks PR and events coordination
The bITjAM Innovation Qube will be a space dedicated to technology and design enthusiasts interested in identifying inventive digital solutions for a wide array of issues across industries. Among the technologies available at the centre there will be an Oculus Rift VR technology, an e-Beam Engage, 3D printing facilities and Toshiba Machine robots provided by TM Robotics. Based in the Midlands, bITjAM is a company founded by Carl Plant and Ben McManus in 2006. In its eight years of operation, the company has completed projects for the NHS, secondary schools and universities, as well as a variety of arts and culture initiatives.
One of bITjAM's most successful projects was its recent work in collaboration with Stoke-on-Trent school Birches Head Academy. Over a ten month project, the company helped the school develop a hacklab to improve students’ creativity and IT skills. The project has represented the basis for a three year vision for teaching STEM skills to students at Birches Head Academy. “We were impressed with the work Stone Junction had already done with Birches Head Academy,” commented Carl Plant, director and technologist of bITjAM. “We wanted a PR firm that not only understands our innovative approach to design and technology, but also one that has a creative flair of its own.
We think Stone Junction has this and the experience to back it up,” concluded Plant. “The team here at Stone Junction is really excited to start working with bITjAM,” commented Richard Stone, managing director of Stone Junction. “It’s a unique client that we've already had a chance to explore and understand during their collaboration with Birches Head Academy. “Stone Junction has successfully organised a number of exciting events last year and I expect that the launch of bITjAM’s Innovation Qube in March 2014 will go down just as well,” concluded Stone.
