New Vision Signs

New Vision are an innovative company specialising in the creation of signage for businesses. A large part of our business revolves around using our creative designs and well-thought out signage and creations to introduce innovative display solutions for healthcare buildings in wards, waiting areas and care homes.

One of our main areas of expertise within this field includes creating dementia friendly products such as dementia-friendly communication signage, reversible mirrors, memory boxes and reminiscence rooms. Dementia patients have a particular set of requirements that are related to their condition. They require specific, targeted help finding their way around, they need resources to help trigger feelings of familiarity, nostalgia and to soothe. Our products have been fine-tuned to maximise these sensory reactions and our products developed for Bradford Royal Infirmary, used in the renovation of two dementia wards helped the project win a national award for interior design.

New Vision have also just won the prize for innovation at the Bradford Means Business awards, which recognizes the ways in which we have moved successfully into the health industry and for the creation of our product range. It was through our work providing signage and murals in healthcare buildings that led us to recognise the burgeoning need for specific signage and design features for the dementia patients. Tony Stead, who is our lead contact for health has worked tirelessly to add to his understanding of the particular needs of dementia patients in particular and has completed the Stirling Universities three day Dementia Design School programme.

In addition to the benefits our health signage has for dementia patients, our wall murals for instance, have helped brighten up dull spaces to lift the spirits of other patients and staff members alike. We aim to introduce sparks of light and joy into a healthcare system that for too long was only concerned with clean lines and functionality. We also understand that there is a psychological component to all illnesses and indeed in depression in the workplace. The products we design are aimed at stimulating the senses, introducing calm and tranquillity and a degree of happiness.
Our involvement in healthcare signage projects can be as in-depth as required, from helping to design the pieces all the way through to the manufacturing and placing of the products into the work environment.
