Axion Polymers is celebrating the final phase of multi-million pound investment at its two Manchester sites by offering special show discounts on its high-quality 100% recycled Axpoly® polymers.

Axion’s Axpoly® polypropylene (PP) polymers suit diverse applications from drainage pipes to injected-moulded components for vehicles.

Discounts will be offered to new customers placing orders at the Plastics Recycling Expo (PRE) at Telford International Centre on June 16 and 17. At PRE, Axion will be sharing Stand E022 with its collaborative partner Environmental Recycling Technologies (ERT) plc.

The plastics recycler has increased its capacity and capability for in-house production of compounds made from WEEE and ELV with the installation of new state-of-the-art melt filtration extrusion equipment at its Salford processing facility.

The superior filtration process improves product quality and opens up exciting new opportunities for turning lower–grade material into higher end products. Bespoke formulations, such as talc-filled and glass-filled compounds, can also be supplied to satisfy client requirements.

Steve Bell, Axion Polymers Commercial Operations Manager says: “We want to give moulders and converters the opportunity to test our quality-controlled Axpoly® PP material and learn about the benefits to be gained from using consistent and stable polymers made from a known origin in a fully-integrated waste-to-materials recovery process.”

He adds: “Now we can offer complete end-to-end recycling capability for automotive and WEEE materials, we’re inviting customers to share in this success – with the added bonus of special show discounts!”

Axion Polymers high-quality 100% recycled Axpoly® plastics, extracted and further refined at its Shredder Waste Advanced Processing Plant (SWAPP) at Trafford Park and Salford facility, offer significant carbon savings of between 50% and 75% when compared with virgin polymers.

Axion Polymers is part of the Axion Group that develops and operates innovative resource recovery and processing solutions for recycling waste materials. The Group works with a wide range of clients within the recycling and process industries on the practical development of new processing and collection methods.
