Skillweb has extended its partner and reseller programme with a new agreement with Sandpiper Corporation. Under the deal, Sandpiper, a leading systems integrator of wireless, auto ID and mobile computing technologies, will be able to supply and support Skillweb's SmartTask Mobile Delivery within the UK.

Sandpiper has teamed up with a range of leading software and hardware partners to enable it to develop tailored solutions that utilise the best available products and components to logistics and supply chain operators. This latest agreement will enable the company to take advantage of the SmartTask Mobile Delivery system, which provides an advanced item and parcel tracking tool for SME couriers, carriers and logistics operators.

SmartTask Mobile Delivery offers an affordable, easily configurable, hosted solution that possesses the software and mobile computing capabilities only previously available to large-scale mail, parcel and supply chain operations. It utilises the same technology as Skillweb's award winning Houndit Enterprise solution to provide full traceability and management control over all aspects of the item and parcel lifecycle including fulfilment, delivery, notification, POD and returns.

Simon Hagenbuch, Managing Director at Sandpiper Corporation comments: "We are delighted to be entering into this partnership and excited about the prospects that our relationship with Skillweb promises. The depth and breadth of Sandpiper's expertise in the deployment of rugged mobile computing solutions will enable users of SmartTask Mobile Delivery to benefit from streamlined delivery processes, increased workforce efficiency, greater traceability of assets and improved profit margins."

Paul Ridden, Managing Director of Skillweb said: "This latest agreement further strengthens our partner and reseller programme within the UK. We are looking forward to working with Sandpiper to take advantage of opportunities within the marketplace and extend into additional sectors moving forward."
