Red Box Recorders achieves double nomination for National Business Awards 2012
Red Box Recorders has been shortlisted for two categories at this year's National Business Awards. The Nottingham-based voice recording specialist has been selected as a finalist in the Santander Small to Medium-Sized Business of the Year and the Orange Innovation Award categories, with the winners being announced at a prestigious gala dinner that will be held in central London in November.
Red Box Recorders is amongst 150 of Britain's leading businesses and business leaders that have been announced as finalists for this year's awards programme including a range of private, public and third sector companies such as National Grid, Marks and Spencer and London Early Years Foundation.
Iain Worthington CEO of Red Box Recorders commented: "This leading awards programme recognises business excellence within the UK, so we are delighted to have received two nominations in such high profile categories. We have undergone considerable growth in recent years and this success has been underpinned by our commitment to innovations and industry best practice. As a result, we are now voice recording partner of choice for an increasing number of organisations both domestically and internationally."
Stephen Dury, Director of Market Development & Customer Propositions at Santander Corporate Banking and judge for the Santander Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year said: "As an insurgent player in the sector, Red Box Recorders' continued focus on product innovation has helped it become the first recording vendor globally to bring to market a solution for Mobile Phone Recording - a remarkable achievement."
Meanwhile, Gideon Hyde, Director of Market Gravity and judge for the Orange Innovation Award said: "Red Box Recorders has created an innovative suite of solutions based on its own technology to deliver an enhanced customer experience."
All National Business Awards finalists represent an annual turnover in excess of £135 billion and collectively employ over 700,000. They cover activities as diverse as digital marketing, international road haulage and logistics, water engineering and life sciences: sectors that reflect key areas of UK capability with high potential for international expansion. The diverse size of the companies entering is also huge - ranging from a business with an annual turnover of less that £50k to high growth and high value companies with multi-billion revenues.
Baroness Virginia Bottomley, Chair of Judges said: "This year has been a challenging environment for British businesses: these finalists demonstrate how companies are succeeding in the current climate through innovation, originality and tenacity. It's good to see a broad range of companies both in sector and size - an impressive representation of the potential British businesses have. Congratulations to all our finalists."
The National Business Awards supports Help for Heroes, a charity that offers support and advice for wounded soldiers.
