Infor Announces Letter of Intent to Acquire Patient Acuity and Workload Management Solution
Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced it has entered into a non-binding letter of intent to acquire substantially all of the assets of GRASP Systems International, Inc. (“GRASP”). Headquartered in Fort Collins, Colo., GRASP provides automated patient acuity, workload management and patient assignment systems and consulting services for healthcare organizations. These solutions help healthcare organizations deliver personalized care while optimizing the resources to deliver that care. GRASP’s research-based methodology is based on the belief that no two patients – even those having the same diagnosis – require the same amount of care.
By identifying the unique set of interventions required for each patient, the solution can recommend and assign the right number of staff with the right skills in the right place at the right time with greater accuracy. In addition, GRASP’s strong analytics and reporting capabilities, along with a National Comparative Database of clinical benchmarks, enable organizations to identify patterns and trends to support effective workforce planning and forecasting. As a result, organizations experience more cost-effective staffing levels, improve patient safety, and provide better patient outcomes.
“This acquisition is expected to deepen our industry-leading healthcare suite and reflects our continued investment in and strong commitment to our healthcare customers,” said Beth Meyers, R.N., M.S., chief nursing officer, Infor. “Aligning staffing recommendations and patient assignments with the unique care needs of each patient can help healthcare customers deliver personalized care while optimizing workload and productivity.” The "one size fits all" approach to healthcare is resulting in billions of dollars wasted and leaves many patients less than satisfied. To address this cost crisis in healthcare, it is essential to understand the unique needs of each patient and how to dynamically align staff, supplies and equipment to efficiently deliver world-class care. GRASP's complementary acuity and assignment offerings would further extend Infor Healthcare’s patient-centered solution portfolio, the DNA of healthcare transformation.
Financial terms of the proposed transaction are not being disclosed. Completion of the acquisition will be subject to satisfactory completion of due diligence, negotiation of a definitive acquisition agreement, and customary closing conditions.
