Today, at 10:30 am at the Microsoft House in Milan, the press conference for the launch of “ReStart4Smart“: the project of the prototype home of the future designed by Sapienza University of Rome team will be held. The project will take part in the Solar Decathlon competition, the Olympic games for universities with Sustainable Architecture programs that will be held in 2018, in Dubai. There will be 21 universities from 15 different countries.

According to a revolutionary model called Architecture 4.0, the Sapienza project aims at applying and testing the most advanced tools, materials, and technologies available in the market to create a sustainable home, able to meet the needs of efficiency, comfort, safety, and affordability. The project is supported by more than 30 industry leaders who, as partners, have actively collaborated to the initiative offering the most innovative solutions and the distribution of the final results.

On the comfort side, the Sapienza team has chosen Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems for their Climaveneta branded air conditioning units. The HVAC system is based on a i-NRG 230/1/50 heat pump with i-HWD2 ducted units and i-LIFE2 HP fan coils.  i-NRG is the new generation heat pump that, thanks to advantages of DC frequency driven fans and circulating pumps (inverter) for both plant and domestic hot water circuits, provides the energy required by the system, perfectly following the actual load of the building.
