Coronavirus's current epidemic has impacted countries around the world, causing more than 11,000 deaths and leaving around 270,000 people infected from the deadly virus. As legislatures, medical personnel, and researchers struggle to suppress and eradicate this viral pandemic, citizens all over the globe are playing their part in ensuring safety through adapting social-distancing and isolation.  Covid-19 has so far become a significant health challenge the world ever faced. People all over the globe are coming up with discoveries and researches to battle the novel disease.

The Covid-19 restrictions have affected the social work of the Helping Hand for Relief and Development organization. However, HHRD accepted the tough challenge and continued to provide its services and relief to humans suffering from the pandemic and other casualties worldwide. The humanitarian organization recently celebrated World Water Day while ensuring compliance with the social-distancing guidelines and other Covid-19 precautionary measures. The most fragile people worldwide were poorly prepared to tackle this highly communicable disease as the world witnessed another World Water Day. It is an incredibly tragic and problematic situation for refugees and people living below the poverty line as most of them live close to each other. Living in clusters and packed houses has made it difficult for them to observe precautionary measures and adhere to social distancing guidelines. https://new.hhrd.org/Campaigns/Covid-19-Crisis-Response

Regional and foreign teams of HHRD continue to take appropriate measures essential to maintain the safety and protection of all team members and the recipients.  The Water for Life and Water Sanitation and Hygiene initiatives of HHRD include providing hygiene kits and arranging awareness workshops for the most needed areas of Tanzania, Kenya, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and refugees in Jordan. All these programs of the HHRD take place in alliance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal # 6 and the well being of those in need. Each hygiene kit includes necessities such as a bar of soap, cleaning sticks for teeth, sanitary towels, water tablets, bottles for water purification, and more. HHRD assisted widows and orphans and other disadvantaged individuals such as refugees, and senior citizens through handwashing workshops, such as trying to instill good hygiene habits. HHRD has been urging people to step forward to help vulnerable families, refugees, and orphans in need. Anyone can donate to the noble cause through HHRD's website.

Since staying clean and practicing sanitization are some of the only ways to stay away from the global pandemic, HHRD's hygiene kits are a truly commendable effort. Vulnerable people like refugees, orphans, and widows are at higher risk of catching the deadly disease as they have limited resources and might not preach cleanliness and sanitization. Thus, providing them free of cost essentials hygiene kit was a tremendous effort to contain the highly infectious Coronavirus. HHRD has always been responsive to human suffering in calamities and crises all over the world. Their efforts to ease and relieve human suffering when nearly the entire world has shut down are praiseworthy. The world needs more organizations like HHRD.
