Keysource, the leading data centre design and build specialist, is launching its new interactive app at Data Centre World 2014 on 26-27 February at London ExCeL. The handy app is designed to help Data Centre Managers identify opportunities for improving performance and efficiency

The Data Centre Daily app is free to download and use, with no obligation to enter individual details. Keysource took this key decision to ensure the app was available for the widest possible use. The app offers efficiency calculations, cost comparisons and M&E conversions and brings together invaluable calculation and conversion tools. It is interactive enabling users to generate PDFs of their calculations and is supported by advice from the Keysource team on how to become more efficient, reduce PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) and enhance overall performance.

The Data Centre Daily app was designed and built by DataTherapy, the London-based technology company. DataTherapy’s dedicated Mobile App Team worked closely with Keysource to deliver an app that is both innovative and easy-to-use. Visitors will be able to trial the app on a number of tablet devices available at the Keysource stand (E75) during the two-day industry event.

The mobile and tablet version of the app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store from 26 February, whilst the web app is located at dcd.keysource.co.uk. In addition to the Data Centre Daily app launch, Keysource will have a team of data centre coaches readily available on stand E75 to offer advice and guidance to visitors regarding data centre design & build, optimisation, and ongoing management. Keysource Engineering Director Andrew Fletcher and Director Rob Elder will also be delivering insightful presentations on day one of the event, whilst visitors to the Keysource stand can take part in an interactive golfing challenge, where the most improved contestant will win an Xbox One games console.

Rob Elder, Director at Keysource, said: “We recognise the challenges Data Centre Managers face to consistently improve the efficiency of their facilities. The app will prove to be a handy toolkit that can be used on a daily basis, offering useful calculations and conversions. By having this information at their fingertips we hope to make their lives a little easier.”
