FUTURE Designs carbon careful™ initiative is targeted to double in size during 2025

FUTURE Designs has pioneered the refurbishment and upgrading of existing luminaires and carcasses for over 12 years. Taking existing FUTURE Designs products and those of competitors, FUTURE Designs has renewed the luminaires with latest LED technology transforming them into highly efficient and carbon saving solutions, extending the lifespan and drastically reducing carbon usage and overall costs.

Mission

Given the exponential growth of the carbon careful™️ initiative, FUTURE Designs took the concept to its natural evolution, now hosting its own independent division within the business. With the initiative now completing over 4 million sq ft within the UK, FUTURE Designs stands as the industry’s largest and most experienced leader in this field and continues to take on increasing amounts of carbon careful™️ projects with high profile clients. 

11% of the organisations projects completed in 2024 were under the carbon careful™ initiative, and as a result our sustainability strategy for 2025 is a bold target. We aim to have the carbon careful™ initiative bring in 23% of our overall turnover. 2025 will also be the year carbon careful™ expands both in projects and countries as we launch this initiative in Europe and the Middle East.

Materials

We strive to always offer the use of reusable carboard or timber cartons to both collect and return adapted luminaires to and from site. The concept behind this is to reduce site waste by returning after final deliveries the empty containers to FUTURE Designs premises for reuse on subsequent projects. 

Our packaging uses cartons, tapes and labeling mediums made from sustainable sources.
