TALL Security Print Backs The Vikings Again By Becoming Pathway Patron

A Runcorn-based printing company has once again thrown its weight behind Widnes Vikings by becoming part of the Pathway Patrons initiative.
Published 10 July 2017
TALL Security Print, based in Manor Park, secured a prominent club shirt position after taking part in the ‘Vikings Grand Kit Lottery’ for the 2017 season and was rewarded with international exposure of the brand as the Vikings took to the field during televised games - in a year when many of the Vikings young stars have risen to prominence.
Now the company has further strengthened its partnership with the club by joining the Pathway Patrons. As an exclusive group of the club’s most committed partners, the Pathway Patrons will stand as ambassadors for the pathways that the club creates - from the journey from youth ranks to the first team, through to the community programmes that enable people to achieve education, experiences and dreams. A badge of honour that is publicly celebrated by the club and its partners.

Brian Carney, Commercial Director at TALL Security Print, said: "We’ve enjoyed the brand exposure this season and, whilst there is a lot of friendly rivalry in our Runcorn site, which includes fans of several local Super League sides, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to renew our links with the club and the associated links to support our local community. We're delighted to be developing our partnership with Widnes Vikings as they launch the new Pathway Patrons Initiative.”
The Pathway Patrons concept is simple.
TALL Security Print will once again be entered into the ‘Pathway Lottery’ for the 2018 season first team or youth team apparel, knowing that the Vikings will feature on Sky Sports, BBC, in local and national newspapers, and be reaching millions of people on social media each and every month.
James Rule, CEO of the Widnes Vikings, is passionate about making a real contribution to society. In a recent statement launching the Pathways Patrons he said: “You will know that I'm proud to be a Board Member of Widnes Vikings, a club that does incredible things on and off the field. We're the club that has invested in developing some of the brightest and best young talent in the Super League - from our Widnes born Vice-Captain, Tom Gilmore, through to our tenacious young England international, Danny Walker.
“We proudly sit at the heart of our local community - delivering award-winning programmes that support people in need, create opportunities for people who face challenges in life and bring happiness to local people. The Vikings are more than just the team on the field, we're a force for creating pride, passion and potential in our community.
“We're looking to secure and build upon this success, by creating an exclusive network of partners who have a genuine stake in these efforts.”
TALL’s Brian Carney added: “This passion for the local community has inspired TALL Security Print to renew its connection with the club for another season. There are so many areas of positivity, where the Vikings are building strong foundations for the future and making a real contribution to society - as a Pathway Patron, TALL is able to feel a sense of pride in knowing that we've got a genuine stake in this. Having already experienced it, we know the branding opportunities available via the Lottery offer the potential for thousands of people to see the contribution we make and to discover our business.”
