Aylesbury-based AcSoft  – one of the UK’s leading specialists in high performance sound and vibration instrumentation and sensors for a wide range of sectors including environmental, automotive, aerospace, transport and telecommunications – is celebrating its 20 year anniversary.

Part of the rapidly expanding AcSoft Group, which also comprises occupational health and environmental noise and vibration monitoring business, Svantek, and newly formed GRAS UK Ltd, AcSoft is marking this important milestone by revealing sales have increased by 30% since 2012.

AcSoft was setup in 1994 by Managing Director, John Shelton. The company, which is a sponsor member of the Insitute of Acoustics (IOA), has grown to become a trusted, leading provider, with an ever-growing number of customers across the UK.

AcSoft chooses its supplier partners carefully which allows it to offer a high quality, solution-based approach, ensuring long-term growth and close relationships with both suppliers and customers alike.

As a result, AcSoft offers a large portfolio of cutting-edge products from major brands, including HEAD Acoustics, G.R.A.S., GFal, Sinus Messtechnik, Crystal Instruments, Listen Inc, Lookline, Pioneer Hill Software and Delta.

Recent developments at AcSoft include the addition of Microflown to its portfolio. Microflown is the world’s first MEMs (Micro-Electrical Mechanical Systems) technology-based sensor measuring acoustic particle velocity, making it ideal for sound testing applications within the automotive, aerospace and aviation markets..

The company also recently announced the appointment of Peter Smith as Sales & Applications Engineer.

John Shelton comments: “It seems impossible that 20 years has passed since I started AcSoft. It is most gratifying to see how the business has grown during that time. Our longevity can be attributed to an on-going commitment to helping organisations, both large and small, solve their sound and vibration challenges. Our assets are our staff and reputation. We have a policy of only recruiting the best and have a lot of in-house expertise as a result.

John concludes: “We pride ourselves on being able to anticipate our customers’ future problems and then source best of breed, innovative suppliers and products to meet those needs. The sales increase reflects this determination to really understand customer issues, find the right solutions and then deliver them to the highest specification.”
