Air handling units Market by Size, Share, Growth, Trends, Competitive Landscape, Overview and Forecast 2018 To 2023

Global Air Handling Units Market Research Report: Information by Capacity , by Effect (Single Effect, and Double Effect), and by Regions – Forecast till 2023
Published 10 July 2018
Market Overview:-

Air handling units are filtration systems that are used in HVAC application. AHU regulates and circulates air as part of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. The AHU takes in outside air, and reconditions (filtered and either heated or cooled) it before supplying it as fresh air to the air-conditioned room. AHU is made of galvanized steel or stainless steel and has an aluminum frame with double-walled panels made of galvanized steel. AHUs are energy efficient systems and perform the main functions such as filtering, heating, cooling, humidifier, droplet separator, frost thermostat, and fan function.

The EU Air Quality Framework Directive (96/62/EC) and its sister directives define the policy framework for 12 potential air pollutants known to have a harmful effect on human health. Since the number of offices, schools, commercial buildings and industries are increasing due to increasing infrastructure projects, there is high demand for ventilation devices to keep the indoor air quality maintained and also, de-humidify, the water vapors from the environment.

Top Key Players:-

Some of the major players in the air handling units market are Systemair (Sweden), TROX (U.S.), GEA Air Treatment (Germany), Daikin (Japan), Johnson Controls (U.S.), Lennox International (U.S.), and Flakt Woods (U.K.). Sabiana (U.K.), and Hitachi Ventus (Japan), Carrier Corporation (UK), Trane Inc. (Ireland), Flakt Woods Group (Sweden), CIAT Group (France), and Swegon (Sweden), are among others.

Market Segmentation:-

Air Handling Unit Market can be segmented, based on effect, capacity, and region. On the basis of effect, the market is further segmented as Single Effect and Double Effect. The double effect segment is dominating the market size owing to advance functions such as different volume regulator, temperature reset, demand-based control, less energy consumption, and removal of cooling/heating process. Based on capacity, the air handling units market is segmented as, up to 5000m3/hr, 5000m3/hr - 15000m3/hr, and above 15000m3/hr. Up to 5000m3/hr segment is expected to hold the largest market size due to its increased use by residential and small premises, and also by increasing commercial buildings.

Global Air Handling Units Market Analysis:-

The global market for air handling units is expected to witness exponential growth during the forecast period owing to rising concern for air quality and increasing HVAC applications in the sector of air conditioning, heating projects. Asia Pacific region and the Middle East region are expected to drive the market due to high demand for infrastructure as the wealth of the regions rises. The Middle East region is expecting a rise in projects from district cooling and heating and new smart cities with centralized air systems. This is expected to drive the AHU market, positively. Besides, the regulations for maintaining the air quality in the commercial building for healthy environment for workers, is also driving the need of air handling units to maintain proper ventilation across the buildings.
