Flying the flag for the US electronics industry

American Pavilion at CWIEME Berlin showcases the best of US electronics manufacturing – from coils, magnets and insulations to entire electric motors and transformers.

CWIEME Berlin has a reputation within the coil winding, insulation and electrical manufacturing industries as the exhibition for companies looking to connect with new customers and suppliers on a global scale. The event regularly plays host to more than 750 exhibitors from over 40 different countries – with a growing US contingent.

Last year US exhibitors welcomed visitors to their own ‘American Pavilion’ for the first time, highlighting both the breadth and quality of the US electronics industries. This year an even bigger pavilion returns for what is set to be another successful show.

“Even though there’s a CWIEME show in Chicago too, Berlin really is the place to be for US companies looking to improve their presence on the international stage,” says Lance Durban, owner of magnetics manufacturer, Manutech and organizer of the CWIEME Berlin American Pavilion.

Mr. Durban created the American Pavilion to provide extra support for fellow US exhibitors in bringing their products to new audiences. In particular, the American Pavilion aims to dispel the myth that high-quality American electrical components also come with a high price tag.

“At Manutech, we produce many of our materials in Haiti. This gives us a competitive advantage when it comes to price – something buyers don’t always expect from an American company,” says Mr. Durban. “We hope to prove to CWIEME visitors that buying American products means that they can be assured of both great quality and value for money.”

This year’s pavilion will feature seven leading US manufacturers – Manutech Assembly Inc., Carpenter Technology Corporation, Electrom Instruments Inc., Lamaco of Florida, New England Wire Technologies Inc., Thomson Lamination Company and Wingard & Co.

“We are really looking forward to welcoming guests to the American Pavilion later this month. It’s a great place to grab a coffee, find out about the latest electrical technologies in a relaxed and friendly environment – and even catch some of the soccer World Cup highlights on our large flat screen TV,” says Mr. Durban.

The American Pavilion runs throughout the show and is located in hall 1.1, stand B11.
