RBA Acoustics Open for Business in Manchester

RBA Acoustics, the UK's largest independent Acoustic Consultancy, are celebrating the recent opening of their Manchester branch.
Published 16 March 2015

The journey began over 10 years ago when Directors Russell Richardson, Charles Bladon and Torben Andersen decided to form RBA Acoustics and opened their first office in South London.

Within the first year of operation, RBA were appointed on many large scale projects in the South – Battersea Reach, the Royal Free Hospital and the Thameslink expansion to name a few. A couple of years later, rapid growth resulted in a move to central London and then again four years ago to larger premises to accommodate the expanding workforce, their current head-quarters in London SE1.

The opening of their Manchester office represents another exciting step for RBA, now one of the largest independent acoustic consultancy practices in the country.

“We have been serving clients throughout the UK, mainland Europe, Africa and the Middle-East for a number of years” states RBA's Director Russell Richardson, “having a presence in Manchester will enable us to thrive further in one of the UK’s most dynamic cities.”

Business is still booming in London, (RBA have been announced as Acoustic Consultants to Mace's Newington Butts regeneration scheme in the capital's Elephant and Castle area), however, business outside the capital has been growing at a fast pace.

“Over recent years we've worked with Vital Energi from Glasgow to Leicester, the redevelopment of Ulster Hospital in Northern Ireland, Everyman Cinema's first Northern enterprise in the Trinity Leeds complex and many of Unite's student accommodation facilities in the main university cities” explains Director Torben Andersen - “By opening an office in Manchester, it brings us closer to current and future projects to benefit our clients further.”
