Keyline has appointed Kieran Griffin as its new Managing Director, as the builders merchant looks to build on its considerable success over the past year. Griffin moves from Keyline’s parent company, Travis Perkins, where he was Commercial Director. After a successful career in the building materials industry, spanning more than 19 years, Kieran will now lead the company he joined as a Management Trainee in 1995.

In 2005 he took up the role of Regional Director for the Midlands and his successful results here saw Kieran elevated to the position of Managing Director of CCF, and then Travis Perkins Midlands region in 2012. Kieran Griffin commented: “I’m very enthusiastic about having the opportunity to lead Keyline at such an exciting time.

Ambitious plans are in place for us to further develop and expand the business in order to cement our position as the market leader and we will continue to pride ourselves on the high standards and great value we offer to our customers.

Our dedicated Rail Division also continues to grow in significance, and we expect a very fruitful and successful 2014.” Keyline supplies the widest range of heavy building materials, civils and drainage solutions to the UK construction industry.

The company has 88 depots in its network and is further supported by 600+ Travis Perkins branches, as well as its other brands (CCF, Wickes and BSS) providing an 1800 strong network. In sales terms, Keyline contributes around £380m a year to the Group. Over recent months, Keyline has launched managed services for both the utility and rail sectors.
