Many of the industry’s leading names attended the lavish ceremony, which was held at Grange St. Paul’s Hotel. Hermes impressed the judging panel after it handled record-breaking parcel volumes during 2016, up from 245m to 260m. The company recorded a first-time delivery rate of 95%, above the industry average, whilst also highlighting its commitment to compliance by achieving Green OCRS scores across its fleet of vehicles. Hermes also demonstrated its commitment to future growth by opening a state-of-the-art automated hub in Rugby earlier this year, which can process in excess of 1.1 million parcels per day.

Hermes delivers parcels on behalf of many of the UK’s leading retailers, including Debenhams, ASOS, John Lewis and Arcadia Group, and is a major employer in the local area. The company's head office, based in Capitol Close, is home to more than 570 employees.

Jon Ormond, Director of Hubs and Depot Operations, Hermes, said: “It is always a fantastic honour to collect a top industry award. The entire Hermes operational team has worked extremely hard over the past twelve months to further strengthen our network, whilst creating new and innovative delivery solutions for people sending and receiving parcels. This trophy will take pride of place in our Morley headquarters.”
