CM2000’s Information Security Management System re-accredited to ISO 27001

CM2000’s commitment to information security has been independently verified with the re-accreditation to ISO 27001. ISO 27001 demonstrates excellent security practices and effective management of information assets. It confirms an organisation has put in place best-practice information security processes.

Achieving ISO 27001 also gives a strong assurance that an organisation is well on its way to achieving GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) compliance by minimising the risk of data breaches. GDPR is the biggest shake up in data protection regulations for 20 years and comes into force on 25 May 2018.

As part of HAS Technology Group, CM2000’s ISO 27001 and GDPR preparations have been accelerated by the strengthening of the Infrastructure and Security Team. This included the appointment of a Group IT Security & Services Manager and a Group Data Protection & Compliance Manager.

Gary Reynolds, Group Chief Technology Officer, said: “We take our commitment to information security extremely seriously. Getting re-accredited to ISO 27001 means we are continuing to achieve the high standards set by this international best practice standard. Information security threats are increasing all the time so this does not mean we can be complacent. However, it offers our customers reassurance that we are committed to protecting their data and have rigorous processes and procedures in place.”
