Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems, through its brand Climaveneta, has recently supplied HVAC units to the new OGR in Turin which will open on 30 September, after a thousand days of construction.

One hundred million euros were invested by the CRT Foundation for the refurbishment of the OGR, through the recovery of the entire industrial archeology complex comprising the majestic H-shaped building of approximately 20,000 square meters of surface for 16 meters high, office buildings and all the surrounding uncovered areas.

The principles that have guided the functional recovery of OGR, making them the new heart of creativity, culture, and entertainment in Turin, are high-tech solutions, sustainability, preservation of the historical value of the original buildings, flexibility and spaces modularity, maximum accessibility throughout the year, and availability to everybody.

The same principles of sustainability, flexibility, and usability have also inspired the designing of the technical, including the HVAC one. To ensure the best comfort in all areas of this large multifunctional space, throughout the year, the HVAC plant designer has selected 1 TECS2-W / HC 1614 chiller and 2 multi-purpose heat pumps ERACS2-WQ 3202, Climaveneta branded and managed by ClimaPRO. The system is so able to guarantee pleasant temperatures in all seasons and to produce domestic hot water, without any CO2 emission on site, while maximizing the energy performance of the whole building.
