Facility and Property Managers across the country will now have access to multi-award-winning hand drying technology thanks to a partnership between UK based, multi-award-winning hand drying technology manufacturer, SAVORTEX and Clearpower, part of FTSE 100 company DCC plc.

The new partnership will give companies within the facility management sector greater access to solutions that can help them to achieve their sustainability goals whilst crucially saving money. Under the terms of the agreement, Clearpower will be distributing SAVORTEX’s EcoCurve range of hand dryers, including the EcoCurve 550D Smart Dryer and the newly launched adDryer. The range has been designed to deliver unrivalled levels of sustainability, energy and operational resource savings.

The range provides property and facility managers with the opportunity to generate revenue. The adDryer is an IoT-enabled smart dryer which includes a digital screen that can deliver tailored, high-definition video messages to users, which can be used for internal marketing or as an additional revenue stream. By working with the building owner, SAVORTEX can create an audience value of the estate based on the users of the building, for example gender, age and occupation. The company’s media buyers can then use this information to set and agree a cost per view rate that will be paid to the hotel or business owner each time someone uses an adDryer and sees an advert, thus creating revenue.

The EcoCurve 550A uses a patented energy recovery and curved air delivery technology, which results in a 66% energy saving compared to any other dryer on the market. For clients that want the additional benefits of improved building management, the EcoCurve™ 550D Smart Eco Dryer also incorporates four additional sensors that enable the provision of meaningful data regarding live usage and footfall via an online portal. It also facilitates wireless alerts to washroom operatives based on real-time requirements.

SAVORTEX was founded by entrepreneur Syed Ahmed, best known for his appearance on the UK Apprentice. The company is a Department of Trade backed and funded, British multi-award winning smart technology manufacturer. In partnership with the Intel ignition lab, SAVORTEX has designed and manufactured the world’s first and most environmentally advanced smart hand-drying technology for the corporate washroom sector. SAVORTEX has had great success in the UK and internationally, and has helped clients such as British Airways, Carillion, Rolls Royce, GSK, L’Oréal, Honda and Shell save thousands in energy, waste and resource. The exciting partnership between the two companies will enable Clearpower to further help its customers in the facility management sector to make vital energy savings and deal with tightening budgets.

Anthony Mulligan, General Manager at Clearpower, said: “We serve a number of clients within the facility management sector and therefore understand the challenges they face. As a result, we constantly work with them to find ways to save them money and improve efficiencies.
